How it works –

Soliqua Solostar Solution for Injection is a combination of two antidiabetic medications: insulin glargine and lixisenatide.

Insulin glargine works by replacing the insulin normally produced by the body, facilitating the movement of sugar from the blood into body tissues where it is used for energy. It also helps reduce sugar production by the liver.

Lixisenatide stimulates the pancreas to secrete insulin when blood sugar levels are high, aiding in the transfer of sugar from the blood into body tissues for energy. Additionally, lixisenatide slows stomach emptying and decreases appetite.

 

Alcohol consumption is not recommended while using Lyumjev Kwikpen.

Pregnancy: Soliqua may pose risks during pregnancy. Consult your doctor before use.

Breastfeeding: Consult your doctor before using Soliqua while breastfeeding.

Driving: It’s unclear if Lyumjev affects driving ability. Refrain from driving if you experience symptoms that impair concentration or reaction time.

Kidney: Soliqua is generally safe for use in patients with kidney disease. No dosage adjustment is typically required. However, monitor renal function in patients with renal impairment who report severe adverse gastrointestinal reactions. Use caution in patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD).
