ABOUT THE PRODUCT:

KONAZ? contains ketoconazole, which is an antifungal agent that targets an increased number of yeasts on the skin called Malassezia

Konaz should be used in the dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. This medicine should be used regularly to get the maximum benefit from it. Do not use more than you need, it will not clear your condition faster and may only increase the side effects. Skin infections will usually get better after 2 to 4 weeks. Do not use the medicine for longer than your doctor has told you to and let him or her know if your condition does not improve after 2 to 4 weeks of treatment. If you have Athlete?s foot, wash your socks or tights thoroughly and change your shoes daily if possible.

KEY FEATURES:

Treatment of fungal infection. Ketoconazole is a synthetic broad-spectrum antifungal agent. Ketoconazole works by interfering with the biosynthesis of triglycerides and phospholipids by blocking fungal CYP450, thus altering cell membrane permeability in susceptible fungi and it also inhibits other fungal enzymes resulting in the accumulation of toxic concentrations of hydrogen peroxide.

PRECAUTIONS:

Inform the physician if the patient is allergic to the active ingredients and any other drugs. Brief about the allergy and the signs like:

• Rash
• Itching
• Shortness of breath
• Swelling of face
• Lips
• Tongue or throat or any other signs

The patient should tell the doctor about any history of:

• Adrenocortical insufficiency
• Achlorhydria
