Types of Diabetes
It is a group of diseases that occurs when your blood sugar level gets too high or too low. It’s a condition when your body doesn’t make enough or any insulin or doesn’t use insulin as it should be.
There are 3 main types of Diabetes: Type 1, Type 2 and Gestational (Diabetes in pregnancy). In Type 1 diabetes, the pancreas cannot produce insulin hormone, which allows the body’s cells to use glucose and produce energy. Whereas, Type 2 diabetes occurs due to the inability of the body to use insulin. And Gestational diabetes is associated with high blood sugar levels during pregnancy.
