Their effect is not limited to just our taste buds but also to our health and mind. Read more to find out what are these super healthy foods.
In today’s blog, we will discover no. of healthy foods items we have and consume but don’t know how effective they are.
We are all surrounded by various food options but not all of them are good for our health and well-being.
There are also food items that are loaded with vitamins, minerals and other important nutrients.
Eating healthy foods does NOT have to be boring. There is a massive amount of foods items out there that are both healthy and appealing to your taste buds.
Not only are berries incredibly tasty, but they are also one of those foods that are universally recognized as healthy foods. They are loaded with antioxidants, fibres, vitamins, that help to lower cholesterol levels.
Berries help control free radicals, which is one of the leading cause of ageing, so ultimately they prevent signs of ageing.

When berries are not in season, they are just as healthy in frozen form. Add to yoghurt, cereals, and smoothies, for a healthy snack.
Avocados are creamy, tasty and high in fibre. Many people avoid avocados because of their high-fat content but believe me when I say that not all fat containing food items are unhealthy. Avocado is an example of that, they are rich in potassium, vitamin B, vitamin K, and vitamin E.
They most definitely belong to the category of healthy foods to eat everyday, as studies have shown that regular consumption of avocado lowers blood cholesterol levels. In addition, it also helps to control diabetes.
Fishes have their benefits known all around the world for time immemorial. They have maintained their position at the top of the healthy food chart for quite some time. Fish food is rich in omega-3 fatty acids and iodine, two nutrients that most people don’t get enough in their everyday meal.
There are a variety of fishes but the fatty kind of fish is considered the healthiest amongst others. Eating fish lowers the risk of heart attack and strokes and increase the grey matter in the brain.

Not only it is the most delicious food on this list, but it may also be one of the top healthy foods. Who doesn’t like chocolate (definitely not me!). It is the best source of antioxidants on the planet and can improve your health and lower the risk of heart disease.
Dark chocolate with a high cocoa content is considered more nutritious. The flavonols present in it can protect against sun damage, so you have your own delicious sun protection option to carry around with you.
Just like coffee, tea also has an addicting effect on its regular users, its caffeine content makes it more craving especially in the morning. I am also a tea addict and I cannot even think of starting my day without a steaming cup of tea.
Apart from being refreshing, it contains antioxidants that help slow down ageing and also help your cells to regenerate and repair. Various studies show that drinking tea regularly release stress, and can reduce your risk of Alzheimer’s, diabetes and some cancers.
Tea also belongs to the category of healthy foods to lose weight, as teas like Green tea is known to help in weight loss by increasing your metabolism rate.
For many people, it comes under the name of comfort foods. Cheese is prepared from milk or milk products such as curd. There are many varieties and flavours of cheese available all around the world.
It contains nutrients like vitamin A, D, E & K, minerals like calcium, potassium and is also very rich in proteins. It is considered as healthy foods because it improves bone health, prevents hypertension and protection against Beriberi.

Whole eggs are considered unhealthy as they are rich in fat and cholesterol. But studies have shown that its cholesterol content doesn’t contribute to the blood. They are also rich in vitamins and minerals.
They contain a little bit of almost every single nutrient we need daily. Therefore come under healthy food names.
Eggs are also a weight loss food as they are rich in protein, the most important nutrient for weight loss.
8. Oats and oatmeal
Oats are one of the healthiest grains on the planet. They’re gluten-free and are rich in important vitamins, minerals, fibre and antioxidants. It is a very popular breakfast food, which contains high levels of antioxidants that can lower blood pressure.
Rich in soluble fibre it increased fullness and decreased the desire to eat for the next 4 hours, which ultimately leads to weight loss. And also reduces the risk of asthma in kids.
9. Apple cider Vinegar
In recent years, Apple cider vinegar has greatly incorporated itself into the product industry. As lots of cosmetic products like shampoo & conditioners contain this apple cider vinegar.
Supported by scientific studies, it has benefits like weight loss, reduced cholesterol, lower blood sugar levels and diabetes control. In addition, it also reduces acne, when applied to the skin.
Although these crunchy and tasty nuts are rich in fat they are a good source of fibres and protein. They are loaded with vitamin E and magnesium, a mineral most people don’t get in their daily meal.
Nuts can be enjoyed on all kinds of diets. They also contain monounsaturated fats, which may help in reducing the risk of heart diseases.
